Submissions

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

• The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
• The manuscript must be submitted in an anonymized version suitable for double-blind peer review and in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx), OpenOffice, or RTF document format.
• Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
• The manuscript must be single-spaced, using 12-point Palatino Linotype font. Italics should be used instead of underlining (except for URL addresses). All tables, figures, and illustrations must be inserted in the text at the appropriate locations rather than at the end of the document.
• The manuscript must follow the formatting, style, and reference requirements indicated in the JBTM Word Template, using the American Psychological Association (7th edition) citation style.
• The use of generative AI tools is permitted for language editing, translation, grammar correction, and improving readability. Authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, and integrity of their manuscripts. Any use of AI in manuscript preparation must be disclosed at the time of submission. AI tools cannot be listed as authors, and the editorial team reserves the right to reject manuscripts where AI has been used in a manner that compromises research integrity or ethical standards.
• Authors must format their submissions using the official JBTM manuscript template.

• There are no Article Processing Charges (APCs) for publishing in this journal.
