DORA declaration

The Journal of Business and Tourism Management (JBTM) endorses the principles of the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA) and is committed to promoting fair, transparent, and responsible research assessment.

JBTM evaluates submitted manuscripts primarily on the basis of their scientific quality, originality, methodological rigor, relevance, and contribution to knowledge, rather than on journal-based metrics or impact factors.

In line with the principles of DORA, JBTM is committed to:

1.Assessing research on its own merits, regardless of the publication venue or journal metrics.
2. Promoting responsible authorship, ensuring that all listed authors have made substantial contributions to the work and assume responsibility for its content.
3. Encouraging transparency and research integrity, including ethical publishing practices, rigorous peer review, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence in scholarly publishing.
4. Supporting openness and accessibility, through immediate open access, DOI assignment, and the dissemination of high-quality research to the international scientific community.

JBTM will periodically review its editorial policies to ensure continued alignment with the recommendations and principles of DORA.
